Day I

We land at Berlin Airport after an overnight flight the USA. Our Corvettes will be transported from Bremerhaven to our hotel and be waiting for us upon our arrival. On Day 1 there will be some sightseeing and a group dinner before retiring for the evening

Day II

Day 2, Friday 28 September, will be our first full day in Germany and we will have two options: A day of sightseeing in Berlin or a drive to Stettin on the Baltic Sea in Poland with John Heinricy. For those who want to take their cars out for a spin but want a shorter drive they can drive to 3 cities made famous by WWI and WWII – Orianenburg, Potsdam or Rzepin (Poland). In the evening we will meet back at the hotel for dinner. As this is Northern Europe you will be pleasantly surprised that the sun sets at 7pm in late September

Day 3, Saturday 29 September, we will be leaving Berlin for one of the longest drives of the trip: 540 km to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, the picture postcard perfect breadbox town that was featured as the lair of the Child Catcher in the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang movie. It will take approximately 5-6 hours to drive to Rothenburg but we will have time for a good exploratory walk before dinner

Day IV

Day 4, Sunday 30 October, will see us leave Rothenburg for Sinsheim, the location of the famous Auto & Technik Museum. We will also be having dinner with the two famous owners of CallawayCars’ European concessionaire – Ernst and Giovanni. Thereafter we will retire for the night at our hotel in Heilbronn-am-Neckar before our big day at the circuit

Day V

Day 5, Monday 1 October, we will drive the Hockenheim Circuit [subject to availability at the time of our visit] with John Heinricy. We will enjoy a group lunch with John regaling us with his circuit stories before another afternoon drive. In the evening we will leave one circuit and arrive at the ‘Green Hell’ and a lovely modern hotel called Lindner Motorsport Nürburgring nestled up against the circuit

Day VI

Day 6, Tuesday 2 October, we will get the opportunity to drive the infamous and renowned Nürburgring Circuit with John Heinricy [subject to availability at the time of our visit]. Everyone will get to drive their own cars around the Circuit. For those that have rented cars then they will be able to take either a ring-taxi or rent a car at the Circuit. We will enjoy a group lunch and then in the evening an excellent dinner at a nearby restaurant

Day 7, Wednesday 3 October, we drive from Nürburg to Stavelot in Belgium. We go from driving on roads with no limits to roads with limits of 130 km/h. Today is a national holiday in Germany so everything will be closed. We will use this day to tour the area around the ‘Ring and then head to Belgium where it is not a national holiday and discover the Bastogne Museum before our dinner. Belgian cuisine is a close cousin of French cuisine only tastier and so we will eat well tonight. We will be staying at the 4* Hotel de la Source in Stavelot for two nights

Day 8, Thursday 4 October, we will drive the Spa Circuit with John [subject to availability on the day]. We will spend all day at the circuit and enjoy some excellent Belgian cuisines washed down with French wines – the joys of European unity!

Day IX

Day 9, Friday 5 October, is a big day as we leave Stavelot for the drive to Antwerp which is approximately 200 km away to drop off the Corvettes for the return trip. After clearing customs and paperwork our luxury mini-bus will take us to Amsterdam, a few hours up the North Sea coast. We will be spending two nights at the 5-star Sofitel Legend Grand Amsterdam Hotel in the center of the city. We will arrive in time for dinner

Day X

Day 10, Saturday 6 October, we will be spending the day sightseeing. A group lunch and dinner is planned for but many might want to wander off solo

Day XI

Day 11, Sunday 7 October, is departure day. For those who are not extending their trip we have organized a series of limousines to take you to the airport. Your Corvettes are also poised for departure and will join you in about a month’s time
